A sizeable disaster!

A sizeable disaster!I must say I’m no exception when it comes to gals loving to shop ‘til they drop! Imagine the encouraging news I heard on the radio last week that Oxford Street in London is officially the world’s most profitable high street. So many top choices at affordable prices, it’s hardly a wonder! Despite all the tempting thoughts of heading down to Oxford Street to splash out, the thought of one right old shopping disaster prevented a huge shopping splurge…

A few years back, I decided to hit the shops late one Saturday afternoon. Feeling incredibly over-enthusiastic about my spontaneous trip to central London, I was really excited to ogle and drool at all the trendy togs on show! AND since everyone knows their own dress size, I was confident that it wasn’t necessary to TRY before I bought? It’s not like we SHOPAHOLICS often need reminding do we?

Well the high was short lived to say the least. No sooner did I get home and rip off all the tissue paper, did I find that the jeans from H&M were too small (accentuating my muffin top), tops from New Look couldn’t get over my chest (it’s not even that big!) and pencil skirts from Topshop made me walk like a pigeon in high heels. I knew then that the outcome was going to be even more disastrous. I now had a heap of misfit outfits I couldn’t wear! At least Mr. Angie didn’t have anything to say about a dent in the bank account on that occasion; as the offending items all headed back to the shops in their crumpled tissue paper (sigh!). Fashion is definitely fickle, and one thing I learnt on that particular occasion was that in future I won’t splurge before I’ve sampled!

Have you got any disaster fashion fables? We want to hear them, the funnier the better!

And DON’T FORGET to play RedBus’s £150 Oxford Street Shopping Spree every other Tuesday @ 8:45pm. You could win £150 worth of High St. Shopping or leisure vouchers! GL! xx

  5. I’ve got just about the nicest thing to post here from one of our players pixiemaria, it puts the biggest smile on my face every time I read it and it’s so nice to be able to share it with you guys here too! She writes:

    “Hello Angie,

What can I say, wow I received my chocolates today and they are so lovely those little doves that there is no way I am going to eat them! lol
Thank you so much for the chocs and for the nice surprise of a card which was hand written and signed by you – now that’s what I call service, I know of no other Bingo site which does this. You and Redbus definitely are stand alone on customer service.
May I also thank you for the surprise of the 5000 points on my account when I logged on today – that was brilliant to receive and totally unexpected.

Angie I would also like to praise CM Chelsea who so kindly helped me today in the help room – she was very kind and patient with me, can you please pass on my thanks to her.

At the moment Angie, I can’t chat much in the chat rooms, due to the fact that the hospital have put both my arms back into plaster, I feel terrible when the chat hosts speak to me and I dont answer them, I now tend not to go into chat. May I ask you to please let the Chat Hosts know that I am not being rude and when I get more movement back into my hands I will fully take part in the games and I will talk the legs of them …………….. lol.

I seem to spend my time thanking you and Redbus Bingo for your care and surprises – but hey you are all worth it.

    Many many thanks again.
Best wishes to all and especially to you Angie.
