Down to the FINAL 32!

It was a double helping of the X Factor this weekend & boy, were we glued to the screens or what?! Amidst the tears of jubilation and disappointment, over 100 acts were whittled down to just 32, which means the competition for final places is getting fierce.

In our opinion, Jade Richards and Janet Devlin were the standout acts during Boot Camp and it seems the two youngsters have no idea just how good they are. If both girls get through, they will be mentored by the lovely Kelly Rowland who was given the Girls category this year. There’s a strong chance we could be about to witness some bootylicious performances with Kelly at the helm!

We couldn’t believe it when the typically straight-faced Gary Barlow actually showed some EMOTION over the weekend – he appeared ecstatic when he learned of his fate as the Boys mentor. I wouldn’t mind being in his shoes what with the likes of cheeky Frankie Cocozza, gorgeous James Michael and the lovely Liverpudlian Marcus Collins battling it out for a place in his final four.

Our fav judge of the season Tulisa was thrilled to discover that she would be overseeing the Groups counterpart… as one third of N Dubz, we reckon there’s a strong chance that she’s got what it takes to be victorious this year. And, it was a weekend of celebrations for Tulisa as not only did she get the category she really wanted but her fellow bandmate and cousin Dappy scored his first solo number one single with ‘No Regrets’. We reckon Tulisa will have no regrets taking on the Groups as she has some great contenders for the crown.

It could only go one way… Louis Walsh and his comedy category – the OVERS! We’re pretty sure Louis wouldn’t have it any other way!! He seems to have a wealth of interesting ‘talent’ in his category this year and only time will tell if the likes of Kitty Brucknell (arrgggghhh), Terry Winstanley (actually ADORABLE) and former Fame Academy contestant Carolynne Poole will make the grade.
