Ok, I’m gonna try and explain this without getting confused! So, the day before yesterday was the 30th December.. Yesterday was the 31st December.. Today is January 1st. Jennys 18th Birthday is on December 31st.
So, on 30th December Jenny was 17, on the 31st December she turned 18, on January 1st she was still 18 (obviously lol) and on her birthday 31st December THIS year she will be 19, and NEXT year she will be 20!

jennies birthday is the 31st of december. this puzzle was done on the 1st of janruary, therefore the day before yesterday i.e. 30th of december, jemmy was 17, on the 31st december (her birthday) she was 18. puzzle was done on the 1st of january therefore on her birthday this year she will be 19 NEXT YEAR she will be 20.
